It sounds like Joe Burrow is picking up right where he left off.
After one of the greatest seasons for a quarterback in the history of college football last season, the No. 1 overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft is doing some great things during the Cincinnati Bengals’ scrimmage on Friday. Reporters Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic and Ben Baby of ESPN both provided solid reviews of Burrow in action.
Burrow got off to a strong start, according to Dehner. The rookie completed 6-of-6 pass attempts fro 69 yards, which included a 3rd-and-14 conversion, that resulted in a touchdown drive. On another drive, Burrow completed 3-of-4 pass attempts for 32 yards and another touchdown.
Through his first two drives, Burrow completed 9-of-10 passes for 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Not too shabby for the first overall selection by the Bengals.
Wow. Hell of a first scrimmage drive for Joe Burrow. Goes 6 of 6 for 69 yards, including a third-and-14 conversion to Auden Tate, then a perfect goal-to-go fade to Tate for a TD. That’ll do.

Another drive, another TD pass to Auden Tate. This time Burrow hits Tate for a 6-yard TD. Burrow's line so far 9-of-10 passing for 101 yards, 2 TDs.

Burrow led LSU to an SEC championship and national title last season, as the Tigers finished with a perfect 15-0 record. Burrow was awarded the Heisman Trophy and completed his final collegiate season with 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns while completing 76 percent of his passes.
It sounds like Burrow may be just as exciting to watch early in his NFL career, too.
