Joe Burrow makes college football history in national title game

Joe Burrow continues to rewrite the record books.
Monday night, Burrow was at it again, putting up big numbers in the biggest game of the year as LSU battled Clemson for a national title. Before the end of the third quarter, the LSU quarterback had rewritten the college football and national championship record books.
Accounting for five touchdowns through the first three quarters of the game, Burrow set a new FBS record for most touchdowns responsible for, totaling 64. He also has more single-season touchdown passes than any other quarterback in FBS, throwing 59 scoring strikes.

Just when you thought Burrow’s year couldn’t get any bigger.
Burrow led LSU to an undefeated regular season, an SEC title and a College Football Playoff berth. He was also the 2019 winner of the Heisman Trophy. Still, the LSU quarterback hasn’t been satisfied, and it’s a huge reason why the Tigers are competing for a national title.
