Joe Burrow talks possibility of being drafted by Cincinnati Bengals

The thought of Joe Burrow being drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in April has left some questioning whether or not the Heisman Trophy winning quarterback would refuse to play unless traded.
But that won’t be the case for Burrow.
On Tuesday, Burrow met with the media ahead of the start of the NFL Scouting Combine to talk about that particular situation. The former LSU gunslinger says he plans on playing, regardless of where he’s drafted.
“I’m not going to not play,” Burrow said. “I’m a ballplayer. Whoever picks me, I’m going to go show up. It’s two hours, 15 minutes from my house. I could go home for dinner if I wanted to. Not a lot of pro athletes could get to do that.”
Burrow is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He rose into that position after a monster final season in Baton Rouge, throwing for 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns while leading the Tigers to a national title.
A lot can change between the NFL Scouting Combine and Draft Day, but Burrow is currently the favorite to go No. 1 overall. And if that happens, it’ll be somewhat of a homecoming for the former Ohio State quarterback and Ohio native.
