Joe Lunardi updated his latest bracket projection early Sunday morning shortly after a big slate of Saturday games.

In his latest update, Purdue has been moved to a No. 2 seed. Purdue makes way for UCLA, who beat Arizona late Saturday night. Houston, Kansas and Alabama are the other No. 1 seeds.

Lunardi has Purdue as the No. 2 seed in the South regional. Its 1st weekend games would take place in Columbus, Ohio, per the projection.

Purdue has been a projected No. 1 seed for much of the season, but it has struggled more in recent weeks. The Boilermakers have won just 4 of their last 8 games to end the regular season.

Meanwhile, UCLA hasn’t lost since Jan. 26 and has an impressive 16-4 record against Quad 1 and Quad 2 opposition. Purdue’s last Quad 1 victory came back on Jan. 26 — they’ve since lost 4 straight games vs. such opponents.

Purdue will still have an opportunity to re-gain 1-seed status before Selection Sunday. The Boilermakers could make a deep run in the Big Ten Tournament and solidify their status as one of the best teams in the country.

Purdue will be the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament. Its 1st game will be on Thursday.
