Joe Lunardi has provided another update to his bracketology outlook for the NCAA Tournament. While the B1G currently has a solid showing in Lunardi’s projections, the conference does have a number of teams sitting on the bubble.

As of Jan. 17, Lunardi has the B1G as a 10-bid league for March Madness. That would give the B1G the most bids in the country with the Big 12 and ACC projected to send 7 teams dancing.

A lot of that could certainly change between now and March. Lunardi currently has Indiana, Wisconsin and Maryland safely into the tournament in his “last four byes” section. Penn State currently lands in the “last four in” while Northwestern would be one of the “first four out” on Selection Sunday.

As for Purdue, the Boilermakers are currently in great shape to land a No. 1 seed for the NCAA Tournament. Despite a huge challenge from Michigan State, Purdue was able to escape East Lansing with another win under its belt.
