The Joe Moore Award was originally introduced in 2015. Now, it’s become a distinct and highly-sought after honor in college football.
The award is unique in that it goes to a unit as opposed to an individual player. Each year, the award is given to an offensive line.
On Tuesday, the Joe Moore Award announced a group of 9 semifinalists. Michigan and Illinois out of the B1G landed on the list while Air Force, Georgia, Oregon, Ole Miss, Tennessee, USC and UCLA are also featured.

Michigan was the most recent recipient of the honor in 2021 while Iowa is the only other B1G program to receive the award. The Wolverines have a shot to join Alabama as the only programs to win the award twice since its inception.
