Joe Moorhead won’t coach in Penn State’s bowl game

Former offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead will not take part in Penn State’s bowl game, according to Mississippi State athletic director John Cohen.
Joe Moorhead will not coach in Penn State’s bowl, John Cohen said. he will not coach in MSU’s bowl, either, but will be there, and will be observing players during practice.

The news comes as hardly a surprise, as Mississippi State tweeted from its official football account that Moorhead was scheduled to arrive in Starksville late this afternoon. Penn State has not yet announced an interim play caller for the bowl game.
Mississippi State running backs coach Greg Knox will continue to coach the Bulldogs throughout their bowl prep and in its bowl game.
Both schools will find out their bowl destination on Sunday.
