Off to a 5-0 start, Penn State has worked their way up to No. 10 in the latest AP Poll. Traveling to Iowa City to face the No. 17 Hawkeyes on Saturday (7:30PM ET, ABC), the Nittany Lions will likely be in for their toughest test yet.
Stepping up following the graduation of Trace McSorley, redshirt sophomore quarterback Sean Clifford has thrown for 1,443 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Averaging seven yards per carry, fellow redshirt sophomore Journey Brown is team’s leading rusher with 217 yards.
Allowing just 7.4 points per game, the Nittany Lions defense has racked up 25 sacks in 2019. The team fell just one sack shy of tying the program record in their victory over Purdue on October 5 (11 sacks vs. Illinois in 1999).
