Two Big Ten teams earned positions on the list, with the unlikely excellence of the Indiana Hoosiers earning them the 10th spot on the list, and the mighty Buckeyes of Ohio State clocking in at number two, a spot behind the colossus of college football, more commonly known as the Alabama Crimson Tide.
“Tom Allen brings so much energy to that Indiana job. He’s done a marvelous job,” said Klatt. “They won eight games last year, the most in 26-years, and this year they’ve beaten Penn State and Michigan in the same season for the first time in their history.”
The Buckeyes, a team Klatt had tied for the top ranking alongside Alabama and Clemson a week ago, fell back a spot despite winning in dominant fashion at home over Rutgers.
Klatt used the video to make his case:
“Fields is playing ridiculous football. He’s the Heisman Trophy frontrunner,” Klatt said. “But Alabama, at least in my estimation, is the most complete team in the country.
Ohio State had this Saturday’s game at Maryland canceled due to Covid-19 concerns and is scheduled to play (for now) undefeated Indiana at home next Saturday. That is a game FOX plans to broadcast as its game of the week provided the Hoosiers take care of Michigan State Saturday on the road in East Lansing.
