If you’re looking for reasons why Chase Young deserves to be in the Heisman Trophy race as a defensive lineman, Joel Klatt has them for you.
On Wednesday, the FOX college football analyst provided some insight on why Young deserves to be included in the race during his weekly appearance on The Herd with Colin Cowherd. He makes a pretty strong case for the Ohio State defensive end.
Not only does Klatt believe Young is the best defensive player in the country, he argues the defensive end is the best player in the sport right now. His argument comes just a few days after Ohio State crushed Wisconsin 38-7. Klatt said after the game that “the best defense in America is in Columbus, Ohio,” and said nobody in college football can “wreck a game” like Young.
Klatt provided three reasons as to why Young is a worthy Heisman contender during his radio appearance. The Herd posted the video on Twitter of Klatt making his case for the Buckeye defensive lineman:
"Chase Young is clearly going to be the top overall prospect in the NFL draft… He not only can, but potentially will win this Heisman Trophy. It's a real thing." — @JoelKlatt pic.twitter.com/Qz1jTKha1D
