Joel Klatt likes Ohio State plus the points against Michigan State on Saturday at 4 p.m. EST in East Lansing, Michigan.

The Spartans have struggled, but it’s deeper than that for Klatt. He doesn’t believe the Spartans can stop what he describes as the best offense in the country.

Klatt spoke on the matchup Thursday on the Joel Klatt Show.

“This guy is on a mission. Something happened to Ryan Day last year late in Thanksgiving weekend when they lost to Michigan,” Klatt said. “And it seems like he, his coaching staff and his program are on a mission. This is a terrible matchup for Michigan State, terrible matchup. They’re given 26.5, the Buckeyes on the road in the B1G against a team that won 11 games last year, is favored by 26.5. And you know what, I find it hard to believe they’re not going to cover that. The Spartans have the 115th ranked pass defense in the country. This Spartans defense is not anywhere near good enough to stop Ohio State.”

Here’s the rest of Klatt’s conversation.
