The college football season is flying; we are already 3 weeks into the season, and it’s Sunday, so you know what that means more rankings from analysts.

Joel Klatt, an analyst for FOX, comes out with his rankings each Sunday morning for his top ten teams.

Here is Klatt’s top 10 for week 3:

  1. Alabama
  2. Georgia
  3. Oregon 
  4. Oklahoma
  5. Iowa
  6. Penn State
  7. Cincinnati
  8. Ohio State 
  9. Clemson 
  10. Texas A&M


Klatt included three B1G teams in his top 10 for this week. Iowa came in as the highest-ranked team at No.5, then Penn State right behind them at No.6 and finally Ohio State comes at No.8.

The results for all 3 teams in the B1G came away with a victory Saturday Iowa beat Kent State 30-7, Penn State beat Auburn 28-20 and Ohio State beat Tulsa 41-20.

These 3 teams look like the best teams in the B1G through 3 weeks of play and all have legitimate shot at playing in Indianapolis in December and potentially the College Football Playoff.

All 3 of these B1G teams round out the non-conference schedule next week. Iowa hosts Colorado State, Penn State hosts Villanova and Ohio State hosts Akron.
