Nebraska went into Norman Saturday and fought incredibly hard all game. Unfortunately, the final result continued the theme of tight losses and close misses.

Despite the loss to Oklahoma, FOX analyst Joel Klatt likes what he sees out of Nebraska’s performance and team makeup moving forward. He encouraged the Husker faithful to remain a bit patient with results likely just around the corner:

“I think there’s probably more to talk about on the side of Nebraska, and I just want to address the Nebraska fanbase,” explained Klatt. “I understand you’re growing impatient, I understand it’s been tough for you to watch this rebuild. I’d just encourage you by saying that (Oklahoma) team was really good…this came down – genuinely – to special teams. You lost the game because of 2 missed field goals and a blocked extra point.”

He went on to say that Nebraska is going to make at least one big upset from the remaining games on the schedule. Klatt said he full believes the Huskers will beat at least one of Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, or Ohio State in 2021:

“I’m telling you, it’s this close,” said Klatt. “It’s a razor’s edge…I believe, still, that Scott Frost and this group of players is going to have a big win coming down the stretch of this season.”

We’ll find out if he is right.
