Now that we have the first emendation of the College Football Playoff rankings, the pundits are out in force calling out the issues with who is ranked where.

Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt has been quite outspoken about his displeasure in the process, and his take on the latest rankings are clear. Alabama sitting in the No. 2 spot given the Tide’s difficulties on the offensive line and near absent running attack against LSU is an issue.

The issues Klatt has is more with what went on after the No. 4 spot, and he went into more detail talking about it with Colin Cowherd.

“When you look after the 4, you just see these wild inaccuracies in these rankings,” Klatt said. “That chips at their credibility. Putting Michigan over Michigan State 9 days after they beat the Wolverines is absurd. It chips away at their credibility.”

He took issue with Auburn ranking in the No. 17 spot, and Wisconsin at No. 18, all while Penn State isn’t ranked. Klatt said, “it’s a joke.”

“Trust, folks, in life is very, very difficult to build,” Klatt said. “Very difficult to build. It’s like a sculpture that’s a piece of art. It’s very difficult to build, not easy, and it can be broken in an instant, and they have broken the trust. Their credibility is in shambles, it’s an absurd ranking.”
