Joel Klatt’s fresh top 10 rankings is sure to get Penn State fans even more fired up than they already are for this Saturday’s titanic matchup against Ohio State in Happy Valley.

Not that the Nittany Lions need any more motivation after falling short against the likes of Ohio State and Michigan during the James Franklin era, but Klatt’s new rankings has the Buckeyes at No. 3, 1 spot ahead of Penn State as the 2 Big Ten behemoths get ready to collide in the noon ET kickoff on FOX. In the Week 9 AP Poll, the Nittany Lions were No. 3 while Ohio State checked in at No. 4.

Meanwhile, the FOX college football analyst has Oregon sitting at No. 1, as the Ducks are in the AP Poll, after a thorough dismantling of Illinois on Saturday in Eugene. Then at No. 2 comes Georgia, which had the week off after its huge win at Texas in Week 8 and prepares to face rival Florida in Jacksonville on Saturday.

Klatt has Texas at No. 5 after the Longhorns escaped with a narrow win at Vanderbilt on Saturday. Clemson follows at No. 6, then Klatt has Indiana, the current darling of college football in 2024, at No. 7 after the Hoosiers continued their dream season on Saturday with a home win over Washington.

Tennessee, Alabama and Miami fill out Klatt’s rankings at No. 8, 9 and 10, respectively.

Interestingly, Klatt has Texas A&M and LSU both just outside his top 10 in his “almost” category after the Aggies took down the Tigers on Saturday night in College Station.
