Kenneth Walker III, meet America. America, meet Kenneth Walker III.

The Michigan State running back put on a show on the big state Saturday afternoon, rushing for 197 yards and 5 touchdowns to lead the Spartans to a 37-33 victory over rival Michigan. His performance only increased the Heisman chatter as it opened eyes of personalities across the country.

That includes Joel Klatt, who was calling the game with Gus Johnson for FOX. After the game, Klatt discussed Walker’s monster showing.

“I think that this guy opened a lot of eyes across the country today,” Klatt said in his regular game breakdown. “And with the eyes of the country on him, he played his best football.”

Michigan State fans had already started calling for Walker to be at least considered for the Heisman Trophy. Now, his name’s getting national buzz for college football’s prestigious honor.

He certainly made his case in East Lansing on Saturday.
