Joel Klatt and his broadcasting companion Gus Johnson are on the call for FOX’s game of the week between Penn State and Ohio State. That duo has turned in some interesting one-liners throughout the action, and Klatt used a reference to Ted Lasso when describing Marvin Harrison Jr.

Klatt pointed to the multiple ways Ohio State uses Harrison in various formations, comparing the wide receiver’s usage to Roy Kent:

“He’s lined up everywhere,” said Klatt in reference to Harrison. “He’s on the ball, he’s off the ball, he’s in a bunch set, he’s on the left, he’s on the right. He’s like Roy Kent I guess in this regard. He’s everywhere and that’s how (Ohio State) gets him such clean looks.”

“Ted Lasso reference there, I like that,” said Johnson in reply. “Roy Kent, Roy Kent! He’s here, he’s there, he’s everywhere!”

Earlier in the day, Johnson had his own noteworthy moment on the mic. He dialed up another nickname for Harrison, calling the receiver “Maserati Marv.” That nickname lit up social media with fans split in their opinion of the nickname.

We’ll see how the game wraps up, but Klatt and Johnson have kept fans on their toes despite periods of lackluster action on the field.
