Most of the conversation about Nick Bosa’s decision to leave Ohio State and focus on his future in the NFL has died down. He made the choice a few weeks ago and the Buckeyes have since moved forward.

Now that the storm following the announcement has blown over, the brother of Nick Bosa and current NFL star and former Buckeye, Joey Bosa, has voiced his support in the decision. To Joey, it was a no-brainer.

“It was a huge family decision,” Joey Bosa told The Athletic. “He talked to me, my Dad did more talking to me than he did about my opinion on this. We all came to agree on the same thing. I find it hard to believe that anyone would give up an amazing opportunity that he has or risk the amazing opportunity that he has.

“You have to understand that this is a business and he has to take care of himself, do what’s smart for him. If anyone had the opportunity to hit the lottery tomorrow, would anyone risk that? He has that opportunity.”

Nick Bosa is considered to be one of the top prospects heading into the 2019 NFL Draft. Mel Kiper and Todd McShay both have the Buckeye defensive end near the top of the draft boards.

In the third week of the season, Bosa suffered a core muscle injury and underwent surgery. He was ruled until November but made the decision to forego a return and focus on his professional career.

Bosa ended his career at Ohio State with 77 tackles, 29 for loss and 17.5 sacks.
