Los Angeles Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa put Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen to the turf three times on Sunday.
The trio of sacks is a career game-high for Bosa, the Chargers third-overall pick from the 2016 draft.
The Bills would end up winning the game, 27-17, but Bosa finished up with eight tackles, seven solo, and six for-loss to go along with his three sacks. His sack total went from 4.5 sacks on the season to 7.5.
Along with his sack and tackle numbers, Bosa added a fumble recovery and was able to hit Allen five times in the game. Though the Chargers wound up with the loss, it was undoubtedly one of the best performances by a defensive lineman in the NFL this season.
Bosa signed a five-year, $135-million extension to his contract in August, guaranteeing the former Ohio State standout $102 million – a league record for a defensive player.
Over his five-year career with Los Angeles, Bosa has 44.5 sacks and 162 tackles.
Bosa and the Chargers will host the New England Patriots next Sunday, Dec. 6 at 4:25 ET.
