Joey Hauser achieved a notable milestone in Michigan State’s Saturday matchup against Brown.
Halfway through the 2nd half, Hauser hit a jump shot from the free-throw line to give the Spartans a 17-point lead. The shot gave Hauser 1,000 career points for his college career.

Hauser spent his freshman season at Marquette. As a Golden Eagle, Hauser averaged 9 points and 5 rebounds per game during his lone season. Hauser has starred for the Spartans for the past 3 seasons after transferring in 2019.
During the 2021-22 season, Hauser averaged just under 10 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game. Hauser also shot an impressive 40% from 3-point territory.
With the 2022-23 season well underway, Hauser is 2nd on the team in points per game, averaging 13.1. Hauser also leads the Spartans in rebounds, averaging 7.6 per game.
The Spartans’ next matchup will be on Dec. 21 against Oakland.
