Hauser was a huge part of Tom Izzo’s Spartans across the past few years. He averaged 14.4 points, 7 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 34 starts last season for MSU.
He joins a Jazz squad that is frontcourt-heavy alongside drafted rookies Brice Sensabaugh out of Ohio State and Taylor Hendricks out of UCF.
A 2-way contract in the NBA is simple to understand: The Jazz can only have a pair of 2-way players who are able to split time between the G League and the NBA. Hauser will earn half of the league’s minimum salary in Utah.
