John Torchio had a big impact on the game against Purdue on Saturday. He earned B1G Rose Bowl Player of the Week honors because of how he played.

Torchio had 10 total tackles and 2 interceptions in the 35-24 win over Purdue. He even returned 1 of his interceptions for a pick-six. Torchio led his team in tackles as well.

The Badgers are back at .500 under interim HC Jim Leonhard. Wisconsin needs to win at least two more games in order to have a better shot at making a bowl game.

The Wisconsin defense did a great job of limiting the run as well as the aerial attack by forcing turnovers. Purdue was held to 111 yards rushing as a team against the Badgers.

Leonhard has four more chances to earn a win this season. He still has to face Maryland, Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota in that order in the last four games of the season.
