Wisconsin football released a highlight video of junior Safety John Torchio making plays all over the field as Wisconsin gets fall camp underway.

In the highlight video, Torchio has multiple pass breakups against Badger wide receivers.

The 6-foot-1 201 lbs. safety has only played in 13 games total from the 2019 and 2020 seasons. Between the two seasons, Torchio accumulated 7 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 interception, and 1 pass deflection.

Torchio might be in for an increased role this season. He will have a competition this fall as there are 7 safeties on the roster including 4 seniors, Scott Nelson, Collin Wilder, Travian Ballock, and Tyler Mais.

The Badgers look primed to be one of the best defenses in not only the B1G West but the B1G as a whole this season. The Badgers ranked 5th in the nation in total defense last season.

The Badgers defense will need to be tough again if they want to return to Indianapolis. They have games against Penn State, Notre Dame, Iowa, Northwestern, and Michigan.

Wisconsin faces Penn State on Sept. 4 in Camp Randall at noon ET on FOX in the home opener.
