Jonathan Taylor was not seen at practice on Wednesday. Taylor apparently tweaked the ankle injury that he suffered from earlier in the season on Sunday, according to The Athletic’s Zak Keefer.
Head coach Franch Reich stated that team is going to weigh his progress as the week moves on. Taylor missed two games in 2022 because of the ankle injury already.
Now that Nyheim Hines has been traded to the Buffalo Bills, the RB depth chart is looking a little different. Behind Taylor it will be Deon Jackson, Zach Moss, and Jordan Wilkins.
Colts RB Jonathan Taylor will not practice today after tweaking the same ankle that held him out of 2 games earlier this season. Reich said team will weigh his progress as the week progresses.
Signed Jordan Wilkins to the PS as well.

Taylor had 16 carries for 76 yards rushing in Sunday’s loss to the Washington Commanders. Terry McLaurin snagged a clutch catch at the goal line to setup the game-winning TD rush from QB Taylor Heinicke.
While Taylor was not able to practice Wednesday there is still a chance that he could play against the New England Patriots.
We’ll keep you updated on Taylor’s status heading into Sunday’s game. The Colts and Patriots kick off Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS.
