Jonathan Taylor was given permission to request a trade recently. The trade talks are now off, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Schefter reported on Tuesday that after scouring the market for a trade, the Indianapolis Colts are now no longer looking to trade the Wisconsin product.
No deal: Indianapolis did not find what it felt was a fair-value offer for Jonathan Taylor and it is not trading its All-Pro running back today, league sources tell ESPN.

Since Taylor will no longer be traded, he will stay on the PUP list. This means he can’t play in the first four games of the season. The Colts face the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, and L.A. Rams in their first four games in that order.
While Taylor will still be a Colt for the time being, not having him for the first four games will hurt the team. Taylor played in 11 games last season and accounted for 861 yards rushing. His season was cut short due to a high ankle sprain.
The Colts’ season opener will be Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
