Josh Proctor ignites Ohio State with pick-6 vs. Maryland

Josh Proctor and the Ohio State defense have already been on the field for a number of plays against Maryland. Fortunately, Proctor stepped up with a game-changing play in the second quarter.
With the Terps facing a 3rd-and-5 from well within their own territory, Proctor jumped a route and picked off Taulia Tagovailoa. After grabbing the interception, Proctor made some nifty moves and outran Maryland’s offense for the pick-6.
Proctor’s score provides the first points for Ohio State so far as the Buckeyes still trail 10-7 against Maryland. With the Buckeye offense struggling and bottled up so far, the defense under Jim Knowles will need to provide more impact plays in this one.

Ohio State has opened Week 6 off the bye week with a sluggish look but the defense is playing well. We’ll see if Proctor and his fellow defenders can deliver more takeaways.
