If someone signs on to their Twitter account for the first time in two years it’s either going to be really good news, or really pretty bad.

For Nebraska place kicker Connor Culp it was the latter as he dispatched a message Saturday night following the Cornhuskers 30-23 win over Penn State that his pick-up truck (it is Nebraska) had been stolen from the Cornhusker Motel—(again, it’s Nebraska).

But the darkness turned to light as Culp reported Big Red Nation had helped track down his truck over the weekend, leading to its discovery and return Monday morning.

“We have the best fans in the nation!!” Culp tweeted.

He may have got the truck back, but there was no word on the tape deck or the Creedence.

Culp, a graduate transfer from LSU’s 2019 national championship team, daggered three field goals and three points-after-touchdown kicks to boost the Cornhuskers to their first victory of the season. Culp is six of his seven on his field-goal attempts and has made all six extra-point efforts.

Just like Culp has been money for the Big Red Football team, the Nebraska fans were money for Culp when he needed his stolen truck tracked down. They always have loved their football team down Lincoln way.
