Justin Fields took a beating towards the end of the game on Thursday. He spoke about how he was feeling with Grant Gordon of NFL.com.
Not only did Chicago Bears fans have to watch the slow paced 12-7 loss to the Washington Commanders unfold, but it looks like Fields may have re-aggravated a shoulder injury he had from earlier in the year.
Luckily Fields will have some extra time to heal from his wounds since the Bears played on TNF. Fields is looking forward to the long weekend so that he can get better from it.
“I’m hurting, hurting pretty good,” Fields said. “Got a long weekend, so I’ll have some extra time to heal up. I hurt it a while back, so it kinda just re-aggravated it.”
The Bears are now 2-4 after the loss to the Commanders and are currently third in the NFC North. Carson Wentz’s streak on TNF stays alive as he is now 7-0. Washington is still in last place in the NFC East after the win.
Chicago faces the New England Patriots next on Oct. 24 at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
