Even though Justin Fields isn’t going to start for the Chicago Bears, that doesn’t mean he won’t see the field.
According to Ian Rapoport from the NFL Network, Fields may make his regular-season debut with a package of plays against the Los Angeles Rams. Rapoport relayed that the Bears do have some stuff ready for Fields should Andy Dalton struggle on Sunday night:
“Based on what Justin Fields did in the preseason, based on his readiness, I am also told there is a small package of plays at his disposal,” said Rapoport. “If Andy Dalton does great, we may not see it. If he struggles a little bit, do not be surprised if the Bears unveil a little bit of Justin Fields tonight.”

Some Bears fans may hope that Dalton struggles due to wanting to see Fields start overall, but we’ll have to see what happens when Sunday Night Football kicks off at 8:20 p.m. ET. As always, that game will be on NBC.
