Even though Justin Fields isn’t going to be the starting quarterback in Week 1, that won’t stop him from making outstanding throws in the preseason.
In this latest one, Fields ends up scrambling to the right and while being chased and makes a throw right between 2 defenders for the touchdown.

So far for the game, Fields has completed 70% of his passes and has 70 yards, plus that passing touchdown. If he’s able to continue this strong performance, it would cap off a very impressive preseason, even though Bears fans have been begging Matt Nagy to start him.
Coming into Saturday night’s game, Fields had completed 23 of 39 passes (59 percent) for 222 yards and a touchdown. He also had 9 carries for 76 yards in the first two games as well.
Fields will be the backup quarterback to Andy Dalton to start the season and if Dalton struggles, Nagy will likely start to feel immediate pressure to put Fields in. After all, he is the Bears’ long-term future and has looked more than ready in the preseason thus far.
