Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields is having himself a day.
Fields began the third quarter with a nice touchdown run to end a 77-yard drive and give the Bears their first touchdown of the game. But he wasn’t finished.
Later in the quarter, he dropped in this excellent 30-yard touchdown pass to a wide-open Jesse James:

Fields is now 13-of-19 for 140 yards and two touchdowns (one passing, one rushing). He’s in a quarterback battle with Andy Dalton, who is expected to start for the Bears in Week 1.
However, Fields showing his talent and athleticism this early could make things interesting for Bears head coach Matt Nagy.
Chicago traded up to get Fields with the No. 11 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft after he slid outside the top 10.

The Bears open the 2021 season with the Los Angeles Rams on Sept. 12.
