Justin Fields tumbles in Paul Finebaum’s Heisman rankings after 3 INT day

Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields didn’t help his Heisman candidacy on Saturday vs. Indiana.
Fields threw three interceptions and was largely outplayed by Hoosiers quarterback Michael Penix Jr.
As a result, Fields’ Heisman stock has taken a bit of a hit on Sunday morning. College football radio host Paul Finebaum now sees Fields in second place for the award.
Finebaum has Florida’s Kyle Trask leading for the award and Alabama’s Mac Jones just behind Fields in third place.
But as much as Fields struggled on Saturday, Finebaum still thinks he can get back to the top of the pecking order.
“When you watch Justin Fields, I think he’s the most talented player in the country,” Finebaum said on Sports Center Sunday morning. “He rushed yesterday. He struggled but you can’t forget everything you know about Justin Fields because of one rough outing. He’s still on my list and, quite frankly, the next three or four weeks will determine the Heisman race.”
Even with the three interceptions, Fields completed 18-of-30 passes for 300 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 78 yards and another score on the ground.
Fields and Ohio State will face Illinois on the road next week.
The Heisman Trophy will be awarded on Jan. 5, 2021.
