Kamryn Babb scored a TD on his first career catch at Ohio State on Saturday.
The first TD of a collegiate career can be an emotional experience for any player, but it’s extra special for Babb. The fifth-year WR has 2 years of eligibility as a result of a tumultuous playing history. Babb was a consensus 4-star recruit for the Buckeyes in 2018, but has battled multiple significant knee injuries throughout his career. The WR missed the 2018, 2019, and 2021 with season-ending knee injuries.

Prior to the beginning of the season, Babb was honored with the Ohio State Block 0 jersey. The Buckeyes award the Block 0 jersey to a player who exhibits “accountability, toughness and the highest of character.” Although his playing time on the field has been limited, Babb is a leader both on and off the field. That was evident on Saturday as the Buckeyes gathered around Babb to celebrate and congratulate him.
