Kaytron Allen rolled to his best outing as a freshman Saturday. Penn State was making it look easy as the Nittany Lions took it to Indiana in Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

Besides a strong team win, it’s been quite a game for Allen, who scored the first hat trick of his career. With a quick handoff from QB Drew Allar, Allen dodged two Indiana defenders to head into the end zone. His 3rd rushing touchdown of the game gave Penn State a 31-7 lead over Indiana.

Arriving at Penn State as an early enrollee in January, Allen has been a key producer for the Lions. The true freshman had already amassed 472 yards on 90 carries and 5 touchdowns prior to Saturday’s matchup. Allen also has 9 receptions for 65 yards and an additional touchdown this season.

The Nittany Lions defeated the Hoosiers 45-14 on Saturday and will set their sights on Maryland next weekend.
