Keegan Murray ruled out for NBA season opener

Keegan Murray looks forward to his first NBA regular season game in his professional career with the Sacramento, but he will have to wait while he is on the health & safety protocols list, according to Jason Alexander of the Sacramento Bee. The Kings are set to open the 2022-2023 NBA season at home against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The former Iowa Hawkeyes forward was selected in the 2022 NBA Draft by the Kings after two stellar years at the collegiate level. This past season at Iowa, Murray averaged 23.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.9 blocks per game. He was named a consensus first-team All-American.
Murray was named NBA Summer League MVP after averaging 23 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and one steal. According to ESPN, he is projected to be the starting power forward when he comes out of health & safety protocols.
