Keegan Murray’s career is off to a flying start after going No. 4 overall to the Sacramento Kings in the 2022 NBA Draft.

After getting selected in the draft, Murray joined his new team to take part in the NBA 2K23 Summer League in Las Vegas. Murray shined in his outings and was named MVP of the Summer League on Monday.

Across 4 games, Murray averaged 23.3 points and 7.3 rebounds while shooting an efficient 50% from the field and 40% from 3-point range. He also averaged 2 assists and 1.3 steals while finishing his time in Las Vegas with a 20-point, 10-rebound outing for his first double-double.

The Summer League is admittedly just the start of things with more training camp and preseason action to come before the start of the NBA season. Nevertheless, Murray will be expected to play a big role for the Kings, and he looks ready to contribute as a rookie.
