Keith Randolph Jr. has developed into an impact performer upfront for the Illinois defense. He also provided a boost for the program heading into 2023.

On Monday, Randolph announced he will return to Champaign for another season. Originally a 3-star member of the 2019 recruiting class, Randolph was among the Illini leaders for sacks and tackles for loss in 2022.

“Dear Illini Nation, it has been a true blessing from God to wear the orange and blue for the past four years,” said Randolph. “I have made memories, friendships and bonds that will last a lifetime… but the job’s not finished. Illini Nation, I’m back.”

In 2022, Randolph finished second on the Illini with 13 TFL and 4.5 sacks. He also added an interception and a pass breakup.

In his career, Randolph has 110 total tackles, 19 TFL, 8.5 sacks and a pair of interceptions. He has elevated his game under Bret Bielema’s tenure, and he will give it one more go before departing for the NFL.
