KenPom basketball ratings: 6 B1G teams rank within top 25 through first 3 weeks of season

Computer models for ranking college basketball teams has become more and more popular as the years have gone by.

Perhaps the biggest of those computer models in KenPom, a website created by Ken Pomeroy that ranks all 363 teams in college basketball by all sorts of different factors: Efficiency, 3-point shooting, defense, rebound percentage – you name it.

We’re nearing 3 weeks into the college basketball season and 6 B1G teams are at the top of KenPom’s model. Purdue, Indiana, Ohio State, Iowa. Maryland and Illinois all rank within the top 25 of his rankings.
