A Minnesota grad assistant is reportedly heading to Ohio to join the staff at Kent State. ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg reported the news.

Nick Faus spent this past season at Minnesota as an offensive grad assistant and will be the outside receivers coach at Kent State in 2023, if the rumors are true. Other stops for Faus include West Virginia and Western Michigan.

2022 was Faus’ first season with the Minnesota coaching staff. Before getting into the coaching world, Faus was a quarterback at St. Joseph’s College.

The Golden Flashes finished with a 5-7 record this season and missed out on a bowl game. They also averaged 417.9 total offensive yards per game, which was the second-most in the MAC. Kent State averaged the fifth-most points scored per game in the conference as well with 28.4.

Faus will be looking to help out what was an impressive offense in 2023. Tradition will keep you posted on any further staff changes for the Golden Gophers in the future.
