Kevin Warren is reportedly making his way towards a new opportunity.

The Big Ten Conference Commissioner, Warren has emerged as a strong candidate for the Chicago Bears’ President role, per Pete Thamel of ESPN.

Warren, who has been the B1G Commissioner since 2019, interviewed for this NFL role in person and seems to be serious, in a lengthy search of candidates.

Warren has been all over the sports landscape. Back in 2005 to 2019, he was the Minnesota Vikings’ chief operating officer. He helped play a role in the Vikings building U.S. Bank Stadium.

As B1G Commissioner, Warren has received some criticism while in his role; Namely how he handled the COVID-19 pandemic and expanded the conference to add UCLA and USC by 2024.

His candidacy for the Bears job comes when there are 2 B1G teams in the College Football Playoff, where he will not attend either Semifinal game.

The timeline for the Bears President role should be filled in the coming weeks, replacing Ted Phillips at the end of the 2022 season.
