Khary Crump, Michigan State DB, sentenced for role in Michigan Stadium tunnel altercation

Khary Crump has received his sentencing for his role in the Oct. 29 fight in the Michigan Stadium tunnel.
Originally charged with felonious assault for swinging his helmet in the melee, Crump plead guilty Tuesday to a pair of misdemeanor charges. As a result, Crump was sentenced to 12 months probation and 80 hours of community service for the incident.
According to Matt Wenzel with MLive.com, Crump’s sentencing comes under the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act. That means Crump’s record would be wiped clean provided he successfully completes his probation.

Last week, it was reported that the Michigan State players originally charged with misdemeanor assault in the incident would have their charges dropped. That stems from a pre-plea diversionary program.
With the news of Crump’s sentencing coming down Tuesday, it looks like the tunnel incident is finally about to be completely wrapped up.
