The Maryland Terrapins are set to face off against the Michigan State Spartans in Week 5 of the college football season.

Kickoff time has been scheduled for 3:30 pm ET on Oct. 1 at SECU Stadium, Maryland announced on Monday via Twitter. The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 as the two teams look to compete in the loaded B1G East.

B1G action will begin this Saturday for each team in Week 4. Michigan State looks to rebound this week after a tough loss to Washington in Week 3, and Maryland looks to continue its undefeated season against No. 4 Michigan.

The Spartans currently lead the all-time series between the two sides 10-2, including winning 4 straight going back to 2017. Mel Tucker’s squad took the win 40-21 in East Lansing during the 2021 season.

This game is shaping up to be a good one and could be a high-scoring affair. The Michigan State pass defense is one that Taulia Tagovailoa should be able to generate offense against, but the Terrapin defense has been far from dominant to begin the year and presents a similar opportunity for Payton Thorne and the Spartans.
