The city of Nashville is being a Grinch to fans of the Tennessee Titans. At least the Grinch returned the Christmas spirt to Whoville eventually.
Maybe Nashville mayor John Cooper will do the same?
The Tennessee Titans-Houston Texans game has been postponed to 2:02 p.m. ET due to rolling blackouts in the city, per ESPN’s Turron Davenport. The game was initially expected to kick off at 1 p.m. prior to the frigid conditions reaching new lows early Saturday morning.
#Titans have confirmed that kickoff is delayed one hour. Statement coming.

Early Saturday, Nissan Stadium began dealing with dangerous weather conditions on the field. With heaters blasting to warm up the turf, all power has been pressed to keeping the field in serviceable conditions to play.
The Tennessee Valley Authority directed local power companies to “reduce load” and have planned intermittent interruptions to power supply due to high demand in sub-zero conditions. Nashville Mayor John Cooper released a statement via Twitter, urging the Titans to postpone the game so the TVA could process all power to surrounding homes.
The Titans are expected to release a statement prior to kickoff. Currently, Tennessee is on a 4-game losing streak, and will be without starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill. The Texans enter the Music City with a 1-12-1 record, and could be inching closer to garnering the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
