Nebraska might be wise to take its shots early.

Iowa will be without cornerback Desmond King for the first quarter on Friday, the team announced. King received a one-quarter suspension for arriving late to a team meeting.

King is tied for the FBS lead in interceptions with eight on the season. He’s the only Hawkeye with multiple interceptions this season. The junior cornerback figured to be matched up against Jordan Westerkamp on Saturday.

He’s also the team’s primary returner.

The No. 4 Hawkeyes will look to notch their first undefeated regular season in school history. With a win, Nebraska would clinch bowl eligibility.
