Ohio State has cracked the College Football Playoff field!
The Buckeyes have quite the road ahead of them if they want to take home the ultimate prize. Ohio State, the No. 4 seed, will take on No. 1 Georgia in the Peach bowl. That’s as tough of a draw as you can ask for, but the title ultimately runs through the Bulldogs.
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart spoke on the Bulldogs’ matchup against the Buckeyes Sunday, noting how strong of a team they are and what the Bulldogs will have to do to remain focused.
“Excited, what a great program, what a great job Ryan’s done there,” Smart said. “They’ve got a lot of good players because we recruit a lot of the same kids. It will be a premier matchup which our guys love. When you make the Playoff, whether you’re 1-4, it really doesn’t matter. It boils down to how well you play, not who you play.”
This is Ohio State’s 3rd trip to the CFP in the past 4 seasons. The Buckeyes are used to the limelight.
