If Georgia wants to play for a national championship, it’ll need to figure out an answer for a player who has been unguardable nearly all season.

The 3rd-ranked Bulldogs will play No. 2 Michigan in the Capital One Orange Bowl on Dec. 31. The winner will move on to the College Football Playoff National Championship game. The Bulldogs couldn’t hold up against Alabama in the SEC Championship, yielding 6 tackles for loss and 3 sacks in the 41-24 loss. Next comes Aidan Hutchinson.

Only the Tide’s Will Anderson Jr. (15.5) and Army’s Andre Carter II (14.5) have more sacks than Hutchinson this season. He’s gotten to the quarterback 14 times, once against Iowa in Michigan’s 42-3 Big Ten title game demolition. Calls for Hutchinson to go to New York as a Heisman finalist have grown louder as the postseason has drawn near.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, speaking with the media, offered some praise of his own for Hutchinson on Sunday, according to Angelique Chengelis of The Detroit News.

Maybe he should ask his son if there are any tips on slowing Hutchinson down. Everyone else so far has needed all the help they can get.

The Orange Bowl kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN on New Year’s Eve.
