Kirk Cousins has an embarrassing record against NFL teams over .500

Kirk Cousins was one of the top NFL quarterbacks on the market in the offseason. Eventually the Minnesota Vikings and the former Michigan State gunslinger agreed to a three-year, $84 million deal.
With that kind of price tag, you expect to see a lot of winning. But there’s one glaring statistic on Cousins’ resumé that is relatively embarrassing. His record against teams winning records is pretty putrid.
Following the Vikings’ 21-7 loss to Seattle on Monday Night Football — a game in which Minnesota produced absolutely no offense — Cousins’ record against teams with a plus-.500 record dropped to 4-24 for his career. Not great for a quarterback making $28 million per year.

Minnesota is now 6-6-1 on the season just one season after playing in the NFC Championship Game. With Cousins’ joining the Vikings, many thought this was a team that could win the NFC North Division and potentially earn a trip to the Super Bowl.
Obviously the Vikings are a long way away. And Cousins has to start beating winning teams to get to that level.
While Cousins certainly has had some success in the past, he needs to start producing against winning squads. If not, he may have a short stint in Minnesota.
