Kirk Cousins, Vikings agree to contract extension

Kirk Cousins will be sticking around Minnesota a few more years.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings have agreed to a contract extension. The deal is reportedly for an additional two years, per the report. Cousins first joined the franchise in 2018.
Cousins was previously with the Washington Redskins for six seasons before landing in Minnesota. He was drafted by Washington in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

When he arrived in 2018, Cousins originally signed a three-year deal worth $84 million.
Cousins led the Vikings to the NFL Playoffs last season after the franchise finished with a 10-6 record. They defeated the New Orleans Saints in the Wild Card Round before falling to the San Francisco 49ers the following week.
Last year, Cousins threw for 3,603 yards and 26 touchdowns with just six interceptions.
