Iowa is off to a 2-0 start this season after knocking off Northern Illinois and Iowa State in the first two weeks of the season.
The Hawkeyes have been sluggish on offense so far this year, particularly in the first half. They’ve scored a combined six points in the two first halves of the season before finding the end zone in the final two quarters of each game.
Now, the Hawkeyes prepare for their final non-conference opponent of the season, facing off against Northern Iowa. After that, Iowa steps into conference play against Wisconsin.
Here’s what Kirk Ferentz had to say at his weekly press conference:
Per Kirk Ferentz Saturday’s game captains will be Nate Stanley, Brady Ross, Matt Nelson, and Parker Hesse. #Hawkeyes

KF said Stanley looks like he's pressing. He is. Stanley answered questions today for about a half hour. This doesn't feel like it's getting in his head.
