We are already onto Week 10 of the college football season, and we are just a few days away from the first College Football Playoff Rankings.

ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit each week releases his top 4 after all the action on Saturday.

Here are Herbie’s top 4 teams after 9 weeks of play:

  1. Georgia
  2. Alabama
  3. Ohio State
  4. Michigan State

Just outside of Herbstreit’s top 4 is Cincinnati sitting at No. 5 and Oklahoma sitting at No. 6.

The B1G has 2 teams in the top 4 according to Herbstreit’s rankings. Ohio State is No. 3 in Herbstreit’s rankings, and Michigan State is No. 4 in his rankings.

Michigan State and Ohio State had huge B1G East wins on Saturday. Michigan State knocked off No. 6 Michigan 37-33, and Ohio State knocked off No. 20 Penn State 33-24.

Michigan State heads to the Shoe on November 20 to take on Ohio State.

Up next for these teams are a couple of B1G West foes. No. 5 Ohio State heads to Lincoln, NE., to take on Nebraska at noon ET on FOX.

No. 8 Michigan State is on the road to face Purdue at 3:30 ET on ABC.
